Adamsville A.O.U.W. Cemetery Florence, AZ
An informal investigation was done at this very interesting cemetery by the suggestion of member Teri Wright. Arizona is not really known for having cemeteries with headstones like seen in the midwest and back east. So this was a real treat for us. Adamsville A.O.U.W. Cemetery is on the south edge of the town of Florence, AZ. The abreviation of A.O.U.W. stands for Ancient Order of United Workman. The earliest marked burials are from 1877, no one knows how many unmarked graves there are. There used to be a sign for the cemetery, but since 1992 only the sign posts remain. Charles Adams started Adamsville in the 1870's. The overland stage stopped there in 1871 and 1872. At the peak, Adamsvills had 400 residents, but it was deserted and the flooding waters of the Gila River washed away anything that was left. Now only the cemetery remains on the road that bears the town's name. We arrived shortly before sunset this evening. Forgetting the bug spray, little did we realize the mosquitos were out in force! It's monsoon season here.....so it's a bit more humid then usual. And did we all pay for the lack of the bug spray! We all had a ncie evening here, even with the flying blood sucking critters. Next time we'll remember the spray! Below are some photos taken along with one EVP we did capture. In attendance were myself (Kim Mann), Russ Mann, Teri Wright & JD Pomering.

Stevens Family Plot. Father, daughter, mother & infant child.
This beautiful monument on top of the headstone of Mariah L. LaBaron.
Pailey Monument. Mother on one side and children on another side.
Just a shot overlooking part of the cemetery. Notice dust orbs & some solid orbs. Are solid orbs a sign of spirits?
These two photos were taken one right after the other. Notice on photo #1 the small solid orb way in the back.... photo #2, shows that it moved towards me. I had just dropped off a tape recorder for an EVP session. Was this a sign from the spirits of the pioneers wanted to communicate with us? We're not sure, our tape left here didn't capture any EVP's.
This shot also taken from the same gravesite as the above 2 photos. It also shows a solid orb near the same gravestone that we left the tape recorder on. Could this be anything?
Nice trantula! This baby sure took us all by surprise! For as many times as we've been desert stomping, this is the first time we've ever seen a real trantula. This was just after we left a second tape recorder at a childs gravesite for an EVP session.
Nice solid orangish colored orb.
This photo was taken as we were leaving. I thanked the spirits for allowing us to visit, and to take their photos. This cool light anomolie showed up. Was someone saying GoodBye?
This EVP was captured at the site of 2 childrens fraves. One 2 year old little girl, and an infant son of D. & F. Stewart. We were walking away from the site, talking about the trantula & I had asked Russ what he had stepped on......next we heard this: Baby Crying
Is this the 2 year old little girl screaming? Or is it the infant son crying? We have yet to decide. And it's hard to say which one it is----as it could be either one.
